An attorney for over 30 years, Jay Kolmar, a resident of Riverside, Connecticut, represents clients involved in real estate transactions. Jay Kolmar serves in multiple roles at Fentin Goldman Turk & Davidoff LLP, such as senior counsel, assisting clients with counsel regarding office, retail, industrial, and multifamily real estate transactions.
During his career, Mr. Kolmar has represented insurance companies, investment and commercial banks, investment bankers, investors, developers, owners, landlords, and tenants. His areas of experience include equity capital investment, purchasing, selling, and leasing real estate, partnerships, environmental issues, and 1031 exchange transaction matters. He has also negotiated and closed more than $1 billion in real estate transactions.
In 2019, Mr. Kolmar started representing Fentin, Goldman Turk & Davidoff clients. He also serves as Chair of the Commercial Real Estate Practice Group.
When not working, Mr. Kolmar spends his time in the community and enjoys many hobbies. He maintains membership with the Colgate University NYC Real Estate Council. His past affiliations include the New Jersey Special Olympics, the Boy Scouts of America, and the Morris/Sussex Counties’ Council. His interests are traveling, playing tennis, golf, pickleball, fitness, music, art, architecture, and American and European history.
